#no but like #you don’t even understand #the german people are lined up at train stations to WELCOME foreign war refugees #two generations ago being stuffed on a german traincar was a death sentence #there was a photo somewhere else showing all the donated goods people had brought to the train stations to give to the refugee families #and there was a photo of someone looking through a pile of shoes and i just lost it #because if you’ve ever been to the holocaust museum #there is the room#with all the confiscated shoes and it’s like you can see the lost lives in front of your eyes #and to see such a reversal like this #is actually making me cry i’m sO hAPPY
